MGS4 needs to remain locked in the nostalgia box of 'good memories' for most people, because right now, ten years later? The AI is abysmal (shockingly bad, even), the gunplay is below par for a title which strived to bridge the gap with third person shooters, the pacing is 'off' (certain acts are a literal piss-take, such as Prague's botched stealth sequence) & the return to Shadow Moses was a complete letdown. MGS4 is when Kojima lost the plot & attempted to make a game which was far, far too ambitious for the hardware he was developing it on. I needn't even mention the excessive runtime of the cutscenes either. But, on the plus side I guess act 2 was okayish (including one of the boss fights). I needn't even mention the excessive runtime of the cutscenes either. But, on the plus side I guess act 2 was okayish (including one of the boss fights). That’s cause act 3 wasn’t finished. Like.really not finished. There’s supposed to be two sections that never got finished (english codec lines were recorded for both parts and their assets were featured in mgo2). A sewer escape that included an escort mission with Eva never got finished. And some of that you can blame on poor leadership.I think the only two boss fights that were any good were rex vs ray and the last one.

Mgs4 is a super depressing game, but for all the wrong reasons. It’s just as big as tpp but with more substance and more variety. But it’s fun. Make the jump and play PW. MGS4 was a tiny game. There are two pretty small open world sections that are the side of a handful of TPP bases, then the Europe map, then the single base map w annoying swarm robots fan service to Shadow Moses, then the rest of the game is like 4 or 5 hallways with hours of cutscenes in between. It was ok but it really is a game you might as well just watch youtube letplays of.

I am glad Kojima went away from this style with his next games.MGSV has half a dozen large bases on 2 giant open world maps with TPP, plus the Ground Zeroes open world map with 60 hours worth of missions, plus TPP's FOB 6 platforms worth of MGS2-style level design, each of which can be 4 floors big, plus the MGO maps. Don't even give me 'but empty maps' all of that space is used, in side ops, in tank battles, in missions that cover vehicle chases across vast terrain, etc. In PW they reused the same levels for side ops, here each one can take place at a different location. Great video (& funny as well). Basically, MGS4 is one of my biggest-ever what the literal fuck am I even playing moments in gaming. All the critics who gave it top scores, all the fanboys who fellate Kojima. All of them were either straight-up liars, blind or Kojima himself brainwashed them with a little nanomachine skulduggery (skullbuggery; more like). It's literal shit.

The AI is broken & pathetic, the attempts at third person shooting fail miserably, the tactical nature of the battlefield during the war sections is a bad joke (whatever Kojima intended. It doesn't work) & it has a total clusterfuck game design whereby it never knows what its even trying to be (stealth? Infiltration maybe, but it's done so badly so-who-the-fuck-even-cares). Then we have ultra fails like the motorbike chase, the stealth mission in Prague, the return to shadow moses with a laughably bad boss fight at the end. That was even the case back in 2008, by the standards back then. It's inexplicable.I'm not one to usually hate a video game, but for MGS4 I make an exception.

Fuck it, fuck its overlong cutscenes, its nonsensical story & its broken gameplay/game design. On the plus side (yep, even the proverbial broken clock is right twice a day), the graphics were good at the time & Naomi is a seriously sexy bitch. Great video (& funny as well). Before Apr 17, 2013 - I was prompted this dialog box 'You must define the environment before running this command.' Can any of you advise on this issue? I'm new to CATIA v6 and I'm trying to open a assembly in v5. It says you must define the environment before running this command. Feb 1, 2013 - i am importing catia v5 file but it does not open in catia v6. 'You need to define environment before doing this operation.' If not this error, you. This task assumes that a CATIA V5 session is running and that SmarTeam client components are installed on your machine. The Linked Documents Localization capability lets you define a personal strategy. When done, you must get this:.

People will look back in ten years at some of the so-called super-duper emotional mature titles dominating the sales charts this gen/game of the year awards in 2018/19 & also think 'Jesus f Christ, that's total shit, what was I thinking?' With regards to MGS4, the whole old snake crap was exactly that, i.e. David Hayter was given a dud script so I can't blame him for his performance either.

FYI, I don't even think MGS4 is that bad in terms of its overall theme, but the actual contents of the story (events/details & presentation + dialogue) drag the whole thing down. It's a mess.I reckon Kojima knew that, so he made MGS5. Which has no real cinematic presentation at all. That was also a mess.

Two wrongs don't make a right etc. Kojima forgot how to make a simple story with complex themes after MGS 1, 2 & 3 which are epic Tom Clancy tier espionage flicks.
